The 31st match of IPL 2021 between RCB and KKR was played in Abu Dhabi. Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored only 92 runs in 19 overs.
All the big players flopped badly in this match from Bangalore side, due to which the team had to face defeat.
RCB captain Virat Kohli boosted the morale of his players in the dressing room after the loss against Kolkata Knight Riders.
The franchise has shared a video on their official Instagram account, in which Kohli has advised the team to accept the defeat and move on. “We have to immediately accept this defeat and forget it,” he said in the video.
The 32-year-old batsman further said, “We have to pay more attention to the matches ahead and after this defeat, the spirit of taking the field should increase even more. The team needs to play the kind of cricket we have played in this tournament so far. It has to be believed that such matches will definitely come at some stage or the other. We don’t need to think differently about this defeat. We have to be very balanced.”
Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently at the third place in the points table and their run rate is also very poor compared to the rest of the teams.
If RCB are to make it to the IPL 2021 playoffs, they will have to win the next matches as they will not be able to qualify by net run rate. Now on Friday, RCB has a match against Chennai Super Kings.
